1st Choice Washers is a young company that has already built up an enviable reputation. We pride ourselves on our commitment to provide a professional and speedy service at all times, whilst maintaining the highest quality of work.
History
John started 1st Choice Washers in April 2011, having completed a six month 'on the job' apprenticeship with an experienced engineer, Mike Sweet of Alpha Services, Ryde.

Repairs (ISLAND-WIDE SERVICE)
At 1st Choice Washers, we aim to provide you with a fast and affordable home service for your washing machine and tumble dryer repairs and problems on the Isle of Wight.
Rentals (NEWPORT & WEST WIGHT AREAS ONLY)
At 1st Choice Washers, you can rent a basic reconditioned washing machine for just £10 per month (that's just £2.50 per week)! A lot cheaper than going to the Laundrette. This price includes free repairs by a local and qualified engineer.
This is our 'budget' price, which means the machine will have a maximum spin speed of 1000 rpm and a maximum load capacity of 5.5kg. For a higher spec washing machine we charge £15 per month, which gives you a higher spin speed (between 1200 and 1600 rpm) and at least 6kg load capacity.
Tumble dryers are £10 per month. We only offer vented tumble dryers (which means there is a vent pipe where the hot air comes out).
Why Rent a Washing Machine or Tumble Dryer?
Normally there is only one washing machine in the house so what happens when it goes wrong? If you own your washing machine you will have to wait for service and parts, which can be both expensive and with the risk in some cases of it taking weeks, causing needless worry and a bill at the end of it. At 1st Choice Washers, our customers have the benefit of knowing that their washing machine / tumble dryer rental includes free service by a local and qualified engineer.
If you call before 10am, we will do our very best to offer same day service and if we are unable to repair the machine on the day we will arrange for a replacement washing machine to be delivered, ensuring you are not left without your essential household item. PLEASE NOTE: This service is only available for residents in Newport and West Wight areas on the Isle of Wight. Also please be aware that there is a six month minimal rental period and payment must be by standing order only.
